I'm not much of a horse person and don't like to go faster than a short canter before reverting quickly to a trot... but our host picked out a perfect horse for me, and one suited for my husband who is comfortable on any horse. Viewing the amazing countryside of sculpted rocks, at an ambling pace, perched on horseback, was one of the highlights of our stay in Cappadocia. Afterwards we were served tea and treats and chatted with the family who runs the ranch. Indeed another example of generous and delightful Turkish hospitality. I highly recommend a visit to meet Cemal and his ranch. The hours we spent with him allowed us to feel we were not just more tourists looking at magical landscape, but part of it.
The tour itself was a a dream. Just us and the wild landscape which shifted from serene tufa sculptures to babbling brooks under trees to a short trek through charming Ortahisar My freind, a professional horseback rider, said it was one of her most memorable experiences. As if that wasn't enough, at the end of our two hour two we were sat down in the perfectly decorated breakfast room for a late afternoon snack of local treats. Cemal and his great team are genuine examples of that world-famous Turkish hospitality.
On our last day in Cappadocia, our guide suggested a fantastic idea: Horse Riding! Everything was perfect: pick up in hotel, introduction of the ranch area and meeting with Cemal Ranch staff. After that we start horse riding in this fantastic region of Turkey: Cappadocia!!! The boss, Cemal, is a very good guy, very friendly and pleasant. I really suggest everybody to ride horses in this ranch. Wonderful experience to repeat again next time in Cappadocia.
Nous avons pass une trs belle matine en compagnie de Cemal et sa famille. L'accueil a t trs chaleureux.
I hadn't been on a horse in years but this was an easy ride and I was so glad I did it. Cemal leads the way and makes sure that everyone is safe. They view of the Valleys of Cappadocia from horseback are beautiful. I like it as much or more than a balloon. It was a beautiful day and Cemal is a wonderful guide !
My experience at Cemal ranch was one that will last a lifetime. Upon arriving at the ranch we were greeted by the family and welcomed with tea and a tour of the ranch. The facilities were of wonderful quality and our host was very friendly. The view from the ranch alone was outstanding. The horses seemed well cared for and treated with respect.I took a two hour tour which took us through a valley and then up the hillside to breathtaking views. We returned through the cobblestone lined streets of the town. Following our ride we were treated to a homemade meal that was remarkable...it served as our dinner. We were never rushed and were allowed to enjoy the setting as long as we wished. I can't say enough about how positive and memorable the experience was.
